The Tout Shami Dress

The Tout Shami dress, named for sweet Damascus wild berries, features a festive multicolor saya fabric in shades of berry, green, and gold, decorated with olive green and gold floral embroidery. 

To make the Aghabani embroidery, a craftswoman guides a handheld stitching machine along a blue pattern stamped onto the fabric with washable ink. The garment is then washed and pressed leaving a luxuriously soft, beautifully ornamented dress.
